Can I or I can attitude

With inspiration from this post, I am adding few “I can” type of stories in this post. Let us believe this post might act as an inspiration for potential entrepreneurs.

  • A fresh graduate out of svce, had an idea called Returnable. He started this as an open source project and worked on it during leisure hours, apart from his day job at a startup. Within a year, he realized that the same open source project could be extended to provide the best possible utility to both the consumers and content producers. This led to the startup hover.in and he is none other than Bhasker V Kode.
  • A software engineer in Bangalore, composed a song for his wife. He didn’t find any good site to upload the song. So he left his day job and started writing one. His wife also left her job and looked after the marketing part. The startup I am talking about is Muziboo and the founders are Prateek Dayal and Nithya Dayal.
  • A female in London, attended an Interview with Google. During the final round, she was asked to explain about a product idea and the way she would implement the same. She spontaneously described about a product idea, but still didn’t clear the interview. She came out, sat down and started implementing her idea all herself. She is Alicia, the founder of a startup called Skimbit. (Read my Interview with Alicia here)
  • A college drop out guy started an Ad agency at the age of 19 along with his friend in the year 1999. In August 2006, Business Today rated his company as one of the 1o cool companies in India. The guy is Siddharth Rao, CEO of Webchutney.

Can my readers help me in making this list comprehensive by adding more “I can” kinda stories in the comments. The post would get updated with the best ones.
